Supposedly....

....this is headed my way. It's the border The Hubby and I picked for Baby Boy's room.

I'm not holding my breath. When I see it, I'll believe it. I have a tracking # that I will be checking first thing in the morning to confirm that something is headed my way. Again, my hopes aren't up because of the crap I've been dealing with concerning these people. Honestly, I'm not expecting the order to be right. Pessimist much??

Watch me not even like the border once it gets here. That would so be my luck!

Crazy about Caps

Crazy about BALL CAPS that is.

On the way to school last Wednesday.

And today..... wore another cap. What's a girl to do?? His teachers just grin and eventually make him put it in his cubby. BUT..... there's no crying when I leave him, he struts right into his room. I think he's thinking he's big and bad while wearing his cap.

Fingers crossed

I ordered a border for Baby Boy's room. So far.......

- No delivery.

- Credit card charged.

- Not happy with customer service.

- Starting to feel like I've been screwed.

- Holding my breath.

So as of now, keeping my fingers crossed that I'll still get my product. If not, I will shout it from the roof tops and complain on every site possible.

One of those things

Being pregnant is an adventure. Some things are fun; some things aren't.

I just experienced one of those "aren't" things.

I had a regular 6 month cleaning appt at the dentist. I go in and chatting it up with the hygienist..... everything is cool. I sit in the chair, and she reclines me back. She proceeds to start cleaning my bottom teeth.

I proceed to start feeling warm.

Warmer.

And warmer...... now sweating.

I finally tell her we've got to stop for a minute and let me sit up because I'm having a hot flash. Kind lady that she is, she offers to bring a small fan in and let it blow on me. I'm not feeling the appt will get any better and tell her that's all for today.

I told her we'd just have to reschedule for after Baby Boy is born.

I apologized several times and out the door I went.

Chalk it up to one of those random pregnancy quirks.

At least I was good for a laugh for the dentist office during their lunch break.

I'm thinking....

that Baby Boy needs this outfit. What you think? :)

I'm not buying him tons of clothes right now because we have lots of boy clothes. BUT..... I do want him to have several outfits for his first few days that are solely his clothes. Clothes that haven't been worn by his big brother.

Because frankly, I don't want to be looking at Lil Man's newborn pics and then look at Baby Boy's newborn pics and see the same outfit. Not cool!

Gotta feel sorry for the DOG

We have a wonderful, fabulous, patient, kind, and loving dog. If I could think of more adjectives, I would. This series of pictures illustrates exactly what I'm talking about.

The dog in these photos is real! Seriously! I promise! If you look closely at his eyes, you can tell. There is slight movement there. :)

A little bit of sweet

Last night was Ladies' Night. I had chosen to bring dessert. I honestly wasn't really in the mood to do anything fancy..... so, I went to my handy, trusty Kraft Foods. And this was what I decided on:

Cherry Cheesecake in a Cloud.

It was really yummy!! And light. Just a taste of something sweet without being too heavy. I've added this to my recipe book for future use. Also, I used martini glasses to dress it up a little. They turned out beautiful!

Pretty and yummy. Can't beat that!!

Note: The recipe said it made 4 servings. I tripled the ingredients for the cream cheese/COOL Whip and only got 5 servings. The servings I got were not large by any means! Just a little FYI. :)

Oops, there goes my husband

My poor husband has been booted and replaced by a body pillow. :) Not really! He's still allowed in the bed but so has the body pillow. This thing is an absolute life (sleep and sanity) saver! If you're pregnant or thinking about being pregnant, keep this is mind.

I honestly can't imagine life beyond 6 months pregnant without it!! And listening to my husband complain about it doesn't cause me to bat an eyelash. I'm able to snooze in somewhat comfort when I'm cuddled up to my pillow.

28 Weeks....aka 12 weeks to go!

I'm honestly not this bad but lately I've been hungry ALL the time. Now is when I have to watch my weight a little more. This is the point that I started packing it on with Lil Man, and I vowed I'd be better with Baby Boy. So here's to eating and not being hungry while not getting to be a whale. :) And all the more reason I'm still exercising!!!

So much better, he can now get back to annoying Jake.

I'm going to be a good mom though and not let Lil Man push it. He is feeling better but this time I'm going to make sure. Last night was the first night we've all slept through the night in several nights. No school this week and a question on the birthday part he's to attend this weekend. We're going to get this infection knocked out fo' sure.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

Unfortunately, I'm not taking about enjoying a margarita. We had a loooong night last night in our house. Lil Man has been sick the past few days. Luckily for us, he's still slept ok..... not great, but ok.

Last night...... not so much. He was up from 2 am until 6 am. Off to the pedi we went this morning. Serious, serious ear infection. Good to know it's not something more but still crappy. Here's to hoping the meds kick in quick and get this sucker knocked out. It is such a bad infection that I had to make a follow up appointment in two weeks. :(
