Chickens out??

I just couldn't resist..... My darling husband thought we needed something to keep the chickens out of our shrubs.... oh wait....maybe it's the leaves. :) So, we have a temporary fence around our shrubs in the backyard. This was a fight I decided not to engage in and just let it go. What would our HOA think about this?? Probably the same thing I do but it's in the backyard out of site so.

My only concern is Jake. I just hope in one of his wild moments he doesn't decide to test this durability of this "fence."

This whole setup actually made me think of Cason and the whole "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." It's going to be interesting to see which "tree" Cason falls under: The Crum or The Howell.
