My child has for the most part always been a momma's boy. Well....this has changed! If Cason goes to bed at night and John hasn't been home, he wakes up crying and refusing to go back to sleep until he sees his daddy. I'm talking about crying and pitching a fit!! He doesn't want any "mommy lovin". This is not always an option because John lately has still be at work when bed time rolls around and is still at work when Cason wakes up crying. John has been working CRAZY hours the past few weeks so his time with Cason has been somewhat limited. I think this is the root of our problem. My poor husband probably feels as though the minute he walks in the door I throw our child at him....but, to keep my sanity if he has to go back to work....that's just the way it is.
We're going on a mini vacation next week with some friends. We're taking Cason, and they're taking their two little ones. It definitely won't be a quiet, romantic trip but will be lots of fun and laughter! I am so excited to be able to get away!! My hopes are that Cason will get to spend some much needed time with John. Maybe he'll get out of this waking up crying and not wanting me to console him. Keep your fingers crossed!!
