On the road

....It's 1:30 pm and we're on the road to my dad's parents. (aka MaMa and PaPa). I love me some Christmas time. It's family over and over again!!

The day started out pretty darn early. We were pulling out of the neighborhood at 7:15 this morning heading to my parents' house for breakfast. This started when I was a little kid. We would do breakfast and my grandparents would come over to see Santa's gifts. This is probably the last year at my parents' house. By next year, Lil Man will be old enough to want to stay at our house and enjoy his "Santa" gifts.

I've been taking tons of pictures of course but we're only been home long enough the past two days to shower and sleep. Luckily, my child is hangin in there!! He was up about 3:00 am last night. We just snuggled up in the chair in his room and went back to sleep.

Tomorrow is an "off" day. :) Saturday, we will spend the day with the hubby's family. Maybe it will be pretty and Lil Man can sweet talk his Granddaddy into taking him for a tractor ride. :)

"The Reason for the Season" - As we're traveling here and there, giving and receiving presents, and eating good food.... we keep in mind the true reason for Christmas. The birth of our Savior, Jesus. The true reason for celebration!
