The child is quickly learning how to play "the game".....the game of life. He's a little genius.
Well.....to be truthful. He just knows how to work his mommy! :)
Normally....if The Hubby is home, you can see what the two of them do while I'm getting dinner ready. Poor Jake gets in on it. He is either barking his head off or running around like a nut.
Lil Man is having a blast. The Hubby is getting some exercise by pushing/chasing Lil Man with the school bus. Can you see Jake in the bottom corner of the picture? Obviously....this is a barking moment.
"Ready.....Set......GO!" Let the running begin. I know at some point running in the house shouldn't be allowed. But we have the room, so as of right now I don't see the problem.
When I was speaking of Lil Man learning the game, I was referring to how he knows to work The Hubby and me. This is how two different scenarios for bedtime go:
***
The Hubby does bedtime.: Lil Man gets some milk. When milk is finished, he has his paci and his blankie. He and The Hubby sit in the rocking recliner and watch about 15-20 minutes of Noggin. The Hubby then proceeds to take Lil Man to his room (awake), lays him in his bed, and walks out. No crying normally.
***
My bedtime: Same thing to begin with....only mine changes when it comes to laying Lil Man down. I lay Lil Man down awake and the crying starts. The little devil knows I'll pick him up, sit in his rocker and rock/snuggle him until he's asleep. Yep....I sure do!! And you know what.....No Shame!!
***
I love the time when all is quiet, the house is dark, and I'm rocking my little boy.
