Normally, my mom feeds Lil Man breakfast. I just get him out of bed, put him in the car and off we go. This allows him to sleep to the last possible minute before we have to head out the door.
Now.......on school mornings, I get him up a little earlier to get him fed and dressed.
Here he is having breakfast on his first day.

(He's like him momma....can't keep his eyes open in a picture for anything!!)

Oh...by the way! Do you see the place on his nose? That would be from a golf cart accident he and his Poppa had. Lil Man wanted to drive so his Poppa let him. He started acting a nut and hit his nose on the steering wheel.

Oh gosh - I am sure it just broke your hear to leave him there crying and then even harder to hear he cried the whole time. I am sure it will get easier for him and for you - very quickly I hope.
I hope he wasn't as upset the second day!
It is pretty normal for them to cry the first few times. I taught preschool for a year and was used to it. As a teacher, yes, leave them! It is much easier and they learn the routine. If you stay, it is actually much harder on the child and on us. He will adjust soon!
Beyond precious! Your family is adorable.
