Push Over

That's me as a mom...... a push over!

Most of the time any way.

When it comes to my boys sleeping habits, I'm a push over. I jokingly told a friend last night that her daughters don't like her because she let them "cry it out". It's a joke people I promise!! She always tells me I have some kind of spell over my boys because they're both "attached" to me. Her two girls are the same ages as my two boys. We've come to figure out boys are just different from girls! Go figure... right?!

I don't know that we ever let LM "cry it out". That was probably why he was over a year old before he slept through the night too. Part of me also wonders that the child was having more ear infections than we really knew about. Makes TH and I feel real good as parents.... let me tell ya!.... to think our child couldn't hear clearly and having trouble sleeping due to simple ear infections. And we didn't make the decision to have tubes until he was 2.5 yrs old. Now, LM is seeing a speech therapist because he's behind where he should be in speaking.

Anyway..... about being a pushover.

BB has cried more in his 3 months of life than my first born did his whole first year I think. That's probably a slight exaggeration but not much of one. Now, at 3 months of age I'm thinking about putting him in his room at night to sleep. His room is upstairs..... far far away from me! As of now, BB is sleeping in his pack-n-play in our bedroom. If I was totally honest, he sleeps in it 1/3 of the night and the other 2/3 in our bed. I like my sleep and if that's what it takes then that's how we roll.

In all honesty, BB's 4 month wellness will be in a few weeks. I'm probably going to stick it out until then like we are. Talk with his pedi and then possibly make the move upstairs at that point.

Are you a "push over" parent? In certain areas like me? Got any advice to give?

I don't have kids but I know I wouldn't be able to handle the crying. So anything to stop that I would do lol. I would be a complete push over.
