New Appreciation

I have a new appreciation for something I took for granted.  I've been to our pediatrician's office 5 times in under two weeks.  That my friend is not an exaggeration.  I've taken one child..... I've taken the other.....and I've taken them both at the same time.

My appreciation........

I can arrange my work schedule around my boys.  My mom keeps the boys so between the two of us.... we've got them covered.  TH's job even allows him to rearrange his hours to fit if need be.

I totally get why some people send their kids to school or daycare sick.  Good grief!  Between taking the time off and losing the hours, spending $$ on co-pays (if you're LUCKY to have insurance), money for medicine...... sick babies are NOT CHEAP!  Now, I'm not condoning sending sick children to school and/or daycare but I do understand.  It's more sad to me because a sick child doesn't want to be sent somewhere when he/she isn't feeling well...... but, if mommy and daddy have to work to support them, well..... you just can't blame them.

Appreciative.  That's what I am.  When you think you might have it bad, think again because someone you may know (or may not know) might just be going through something worse than you are.  You just never know what is behind some one's smile or some one's frown.

I did tell our pediatrician today that I really did like him but I was really, really tired of seeing him!

Yes, I am super lucky to have grandparents close by who are able to help...also have an incredibly understanding boss and good amount of personal time to use if need be. Glad you have a good arrangement. ;)

It's when things get rough that I always remember how lucky I really am. Hope they're feeling better!

It is so hard sometimes! Thanks for the true understanding. Between two full time working parents, it gets crazy at times, but I always say kids are first priority. Hubs and I are lucky to be salaried, so it makes it a "TOUCH" easier!

Hope everyone gets healthy. This is why I give working moms props! I don't know how they do it.
