ONE year

One year ago, we brought this little guy home......

 As the days have passed.....

days turned into months and months into a year.......

I now have a ONE year old.  Baby Boy is growing from a baby into a toddler right before my eyes.  I truly think there are days when he thinks he's older than he actually is.  He doesn't understand why he can't do everything his older brother does.... and just b/c he can't does not mean he's not going to try.  That's something those around him are realizing......

This little boy is quick!  Quick to catch on to new things and quick to figure them out himself.  He doesn't know the meaning of slow and easy..... it's peddle to the metal, full steam ahead.  He does not like being told "No" in any way, shape or form.  This little guy has a short fuse and no one is safe.  He can throw a tantrum that amazes and amuses me at the same time.

Crawls like mad! Not quite walking yet.  He's got it down and can do it..... just not quite ready to turn loose and try all on his own.  He'll walk from person to person but doesn't want to let go and walk from one object to another.  He'll more than willingly grab a hold of your finger and lead you around but still needs that security of someone being there with him.  It's so funny to watch him crawl to someone and pick up their hand, grab a finger, and look at them like "Let's go already!"

Baby Boy is the proud owner of 6 teeth.  And wants to eat anything anyone else is eating.  He's a very good eater...... loves meat!  Which I find hilarious!  It's like the child can't get enough.  Too funny. I was eating an apple the other day and of course he wanted a bite.  Then, just a bite wouldn't do.  He wanted the entire apple.  Yes, people, my child was sitting on the kitchen floor holding a whole apple happily chomping away.  So what do I do..... sit on the floor with him and ask for a bite every now and then. :)  And make sure he didn't get too big a bite.

Like any little boy, he LOVES being outside!  Both he and Lil Man spend their days playing with their NaNa outdoors.  They're either playing in the dirt, riding their 4wheelers, or throwing rocks.  Yes, I do know that it's only a matter of time before one little boy hits another little boy with a rock.... but they're boys.

Still a mama's boy through and through.  I'm the one that has to put him to bed at night.  The only time TH puts him to bed is my monthly Ladies' Night.  And if not I'm not mistaken, he cries himself to sleep on those nights.  If I'm around generally he'll only give someone else his attention for a few minutes then it's back to mama.  I'm hoping (fingers crossed while chanting prayer) that once he's weaned this will improve some.  And speaking of weaning, we're starting the process... not sure how long this is going to take but I'm not rushing it just working on it.

The Lord has blessed TH and I will two wonderful little boys.  Each day is a celebration!  It amazes me each day how truly different our two little boys are.  They're both unique and special in their own way!  And loved by so many people!!

ps:  I've got party picture which I'll do in another post!
