Failed

I so failed at disciplining my child last night...... I'm trying not to giggle as I type this.  Obviously, if I can't even type this post without laughing, you know I couldn't discipline my child without laughing.

This is what happened........

Some friends and their children were over for dinner last night.  I had made a big pan of lasagna for us to chow down on.  I also made a pan for some friends (also live in the neighborhood) because they got craziness going on b/c tomorrow is their daughter's wedding.  I just wanted to do something to help a wonderful friend out..... a home cooked meal that she didn't have to cook.  So anyway..... we'll call him The Mr.  The Mr came by the house to get the food.  When he was leaving, I walked out the back door with him carrying Baby Boy.  Lil Man had walked out ahead of me carrying a m.atchbox car.  The Mr and I were chatting, and I see LM haul his arm back getting ready to launch his car.  I yell, "Watch out!!"  The Mr ducks and is luckily standing behind a column on our porch.  The car nails the column and ricochets to the ground. 

I am laughing so hard I have tears.  The way it happened and then The Mr's reaction..... I was having a giggling fit!  He's trying to be stern and I think had a hard time himself.  I haul LM in the house where I tell TH and our friends what happened.  Of course, my friend makes a comment that The Mr is lucky he's not walking down the aisle on Saturday with stitches.

More laughter.

Parent fail on teaching one's child it is NOT appropriate to throw objects other than balls.  But it sure was funny!
