No one is going to do it......

I think there are some people that need to realize a few hard facts.  Number one being your child or children are your responsibility.  Don't think b/c you're in certain environments that others are going to do your job for you. 

I had a little "situation" the other day where someone assumed (and you know what they say about assumed right?!) that I was watching their child.  Ummmm, nope.  No reason on earth why I should be.  And said child ended up somewhere he shouldn't have.  There was absolutely no reason whatsoever for the assumption to be made that I was watching this child.  Be responsible!  Be a parent! Step your ass up to the plate and do your job!  And don't even think about catching attitude with me b/c your child wasn't where he/she was supposed to be.  There are times when I'm responsible for others' children.... and I take that very seriously!  But this wasn't one of them.

Now saying that..... if I see a child running into a parking lot or doing something dangerous, I will definitely step in to help.  I'm not ever going to let any harm come to a child if there's anything I can do to prevent it.... because hello! Children are going to be children.  But hello, be a parent and do your job!
