31

Today, I turn 31!  After turning 30 last year, thirty-one didn't seem like just a big deal.  Had a wonderful day with my family.

Today, as I'm 31....... I'm a wife of almost 8 years to a great man.  I'm a mom to 2 wonderful little boys with #3 on the way.  I'm happy with the person I am.  I know I'm nowhere near perfect.  I strive to do the best I can each and every day.  Some days I fail, some days I succeed.  While I know I'm not perfect, I realize others aren't either.  I'm privileged to have some great, supportive friends in my life.  I'm blessed with loving parents.  I'm looking forward to what the next year will bring.

....... and I was told by my husband that to his knowledge jeans to NOT belong in the frig.  **blank face from me**  Yes, TH found a pair of jeans in the frig this morning.  Obviously when we were unloading the car last night, I stacked leftovers and placed TH's jeans in the middle of the stack.  I then proceeded to stick everything in the frig.  No, I'm not losing it! Ha!  Not yet anyway..... just a simple mistake.  Or old age is getting to me.  Or something!

Thankful this Thanksgiving

I have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.  Things I'm thankful for each and every day.  Today, we'll spend the day with ones we love.

Hope you're having a day filled with family or friends...... being thankful for who and what we have in our lives.

Sorting

Oh my!  Can I express the sheer joy when a rainy day and a day off for TH coincides?  Joy, I tell you.... pure joy!!  I come home with LM after school to a house with clean floors, laundry going and clothes being put away.  If the man had dinner planned and prepped, I might have just fainted.  But..... that's taking it a little too far. Ha!

Anyway..... back to sorting.  Because TH was cleaning and doing laundry, all the boys clothes were being taken up stairs in piles.  I'm bad about doing laundry late in the evening and doing it after the boys are in bed.  This way I can fold clothes without interference from little ones and watch my favorite shows at the same time.  The negative, a huge negative, is that the boys' clothes do not get put away.  They end up being piled on the dresser in our bedroom.  ..... the pile just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  It gets to the point that you have to look for clothes for the boys there and not in their own rooms.  Since my husband did his part in getting everything moved up to their rooms, I decided to attack their closets and sort clothing.  LM's closet now only has his current size...... nothing smaller!  BB's closet now contains his current size as well as what he will grow into.  We're lucky in that the boys have decent size closets.  BB is currently in 24 months and some 2T stuff.  But, his closet also now contains 3T things as well.  I made another pile....... **GASP!**  A pile for the "baby on the way".  As I was sitting in the floor moving clothes into piles, it went something like this..... Oldest, Middle and Baby.  And then it hit me like a ton of bricks.......

Baby #3 is on his way!  I mean it's obvious if you've seen my belly.  But to actually be making decisions and choices...... ummm, wow!

In the leaves

Because they're cute!  And because the leaves were beautiful!

Because they can actually play nice together at times!

Because they love being outside!

Because photos are priceless memories!

Because they are precious blessings!

I should have titled this post "Because!"  Lots of "Because" in the leaves.

Backseat commentary

As I was driving down the road the other day, I received a text.  When I stopped at the next red light, I read it.  Didn't care for what it said so my response was, "Piece of crap!"  No..... not what I should have said but I did.  Did I tell you I had one little Baby Boy in the backseat.  Yep, I did.

What do I hear not 2 seconds after I said what I said?!  "Piece crap.  Piece crap."

I was like, "Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me?!" ..... in my head!  Out loud to my son I say, "Look at that big truck!"  Anything to get my kid's mind off of the words I would prefer him not to repeat.

There's a little parrot in the house.  Operation "Watch Your Mouth" is on!  We don't have horrible language by any means in our house but there are things I certainly don't want my sons repeating.

24 Weeks

Time is flying!  I can't believe that I'm on the downside of this pregnancy.  March 1st will be here before I know it!  Have we even started on the baby's room..... ummm, NO! Got to get moving on that.

Here is the belly shot!

And.... I'm a little vain so I had to add this sassy shot too!!

(This outfit is actually not maternity.  The bottom 2 buttons of the shirt was stretched to their limit!)
How far along: 24 weeks.
Baby-related purchases:  No.  Although, I have been looking for new crib bedding.  Baby Boy used his brother's so I'm going with a new one this time around.
Maternity Clothes: Yes and No.  Pants definitely!  My shirts I'm still wearing some G.AP tees because I bought them in Tall.  I can get away with them still.
Best moment this week: Each day is a best moment. I've learned to take a day at the time and enjoy it to it's fullest.
Strangest moment this week: Not strange.... more like annoying.  Our dog is feeling neglected and has taken to running off into the field behind our house.  Staying gone for an hour or more at a time.
Movement: Lots of movement.
Food cravingsI've been eating the heck out of spinach salad with dried cranberries and dried pineapples topped with B.alsamic V.inaigrette dressing.
Gender: BOY!
Belly button in or out:  In.
What I missWine!  I've been craving a glass of wine for dinner for a few weeks.
What I'm looking forward toBringing a new little one into our crazy house.
Weekly Wisdom: I've taken to keeping a calendar with me at all times.  With TH's schedule being what it is and having two active boys.  Doctor appointments to keep up with.  Bills to pay.  Life is SOOO much easier if I keep the calendar with me at all times.  I know the more organized I am now the easier it will be to add another little dude to our lives.  And menu planning..... two weeks at the time!
