Is that a discussion or an argument

I'm sitting here listening to my brother and my dad "discuss" a job that they're quoting.

They are like oil and water that has some serious problem "mixing" at times. I never fails to amuse me though. Hey! Somebody has to get a kick out of it. [grin]

Oh the joys of working in the family business......it's good most days (actually it's good almost all the time) but sometime......WOW! It's interesting.

Honestly, I'm sitting here with a smirk on my face. :) At least it's not me "discussing". he he

The construction business is interesting enough but throw family in the mix, and it gets really interesting. (Notice: interesting is the word of the day) I have to say that I really do enjoy my job and working with family. I get to wear casual clothes (jeans only on occasion) but not suits and all that jazz! For the most part, I can get days off when I need them (which is not a whole lot but still it's available). And I got an awesome house out of the deal!! Well, got the connections to build an awesome house at a lot lower price than the normal person (unfortunately I still have a mortgage so it wasn't THAT awesome!). And on Fridays, Lil Man comes to the office, and we all eat breakfast together.

A friend of mine says that the relationship I have with my family is not a normal relationship...... not that it's bad by any means just that most people don't have what we have. There are days when I eat all three meals with my dad due to business stuff then the family doing dinner together. And with The Hubby's job....if he's out late, instead of me cooking for just Lil Man and myself, we'll eat with my parents on occasion.

We have times when everyone needs a break from each other but day in and day out....you can always count on family. At least in our family you can! When I hear friends say that they don't have the best of relationships with their parents, I feel for them. The Good Lord truly and seriously blessed both The Hubby and myself with awesome parents!
