Baby-proofing

I've yet to understand why it's called "baby-proofing". My child was not mobile and into everything he could possible get into as a baby. He was in his bouncer, jumperoo, or on a pallet in the floor. Now.....
He's a little boy and we are toddler-proofing. It seems that over night my baby went from being this sweet, cuddly baby to a mischievous toddler who is totally testing his boundaries. John had to install the cabinet locks in the kitchen, laundry room and our master bath. Cason seemed to target the cabinets that were most hassardest to his health.....GO FIGURE!

John and I are now learning and trying to figure out how to discipline a 15 month old. We're trying to learn what works best for Cason..... Let me tell you..... we have one hard-headed child. I have friends who say they just look at their children to get the wanted results or say a stern "No" and it works. Not for our child....... he requires a little more than that. So as our toddler is learning where and what is allowed, John and I are learning how best to achieve what works best for our little man.
