My hubby and I have a slight delima on our hands...... DOG FOOD! How the heck do you keep your child from eating the dog food???
I can't figure out what the fascination is with the stuff. The sad part is Jake (our 100lb lab) will stand beside his bowl as Cason grabs a handful and pops it into his mouth. Yes...Jake will stop eating so my child can have a turn. I guess I should be happy Jake doesn't go crazy with the kid eating his food. Jake probably thinks Cason shares with him so he'll share with Cason. A little part of me wished Jake would snap (nothing serious for those of you thinking bad of me right now) but just enough for Cason to get the point. Point in case...... Last night the dialogue goes like this:
Me: "John, will you please grab our son. He's in the laundry room again." Sigh of frustration.
John: "He's coming out. He's good to go. Nothing in his hands."
Me: "Did you check his mouth???"
John: "NO. I told you. He's coming out by himself."
Me: "JOHN! Darling....this does not mean he doesn't have dog food in his mouth. Check him out!"
John: Picks up Cason. "GROSS! He's chewing on it."
Me: "Did I not tell you this?"
Cason was cool with the whole thing. Until his dad stuck his figures in his mouth to get the food out. ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

aww! I wish I had a suggestion. It's so hard when they're so little and don't fully understand you... At least the dog is showing him good examples of how to share! LOL jk
Ps thanks for visiting my site. Glad to see we're notthe only ones battling super grandparents!
