Excited!

I LOVE Easter!! Love it Love it Love it. (Do you think I like it at all?! LOL)

There are several reasons.

First and foremost: Our Lord and Savior gave his life. And was resurrected!! The children walking down the aisle on Palm Sunday with their palm leaves while singing. The dogwoods blooming. And the Sunrise service (which is held on the lake on a point while watching the sun come up. Spectacular!!)

Second: Dying eggs. This is something I have done since I was a little girl. We would do it with my mom and then go to my grandmother's and do it again. I have already started this tradition with my little one. We dyed eggs last year but he was itty bitty. This year.....we'll see how it goes. :) That's what we're doing tomorrow since I have the day off.

Easter Lunch: My mom's family always has lunch at my grandmother's house. And when I say family.....I mean family..... as in 50 people at least. Everyone brings a favorite or two or three. Kids are running rampant and having fun. Adults are having conversations and talking over each other. Pure Chaos!!

Easter Egg Hunts: This is the first year I'll have a little one involved. I love seeing the kids running around SO excited!! Seeing their happy, smiling faces light up with pure joy at the simple act of "finding" an egg. Some of the eggs are real; some are plastic with a surprise inside.

Looking forward to the fun times ahead.

I have decided that I'm not purchasing Dr Laura's book. She has her opinions, and I have mine. What little I heard on the radio yesterday......we DISAGREE completely. So, if someone has it and will let borrow, I'll read it. Not wasting the money on it at this point though.
