Me first

Today.... is a day for me.  It's my monthly Ladies' Night.  We decided to do something a little different and go out to dinner.  We normally take turns hosting at one of our homes.  Tonight..... it's Mexican!  I thought since this day was already a day designated for me to go out.... I would turn it into a whole day.  (I'm still working & doing mommy duties but in my head it sounded nice.)

Today..... I will think about what I want.  If I want to go for a run before I get the boys, that's what I'm going to do.  If I want to take my time showering and getting ready, that's what I'm going to do. 


As a mom, 9 times out of 10, my children come first.  HELLO! They have to..... well, I don't guess they have to but they do as they should.  I'm cool with that.  If fact, I wouldn't have it any other way.  My boys & my husband come before all else.  But last night as I was battling bedtime by myself, I made the decision.

Today...... it's "Me" Day!  If for no other reason than just for the heck of it.  Because you know what.... my boys will survive one day of mommy not being at their total beck & call.
