To say "to infinity and beyond" is pretty redundant, I'll just go with this then..... to 12 months and beyond. Baby Boy turned 1 last month (as I'm sure you know). When I had him I was determined, and I do mean determined, to breastfeed exclusively. One because it's good for him, and two because it was just a personal goal. I didn't want to spend any money on formula if I was able to provide. I did it! He went the entire 12 months only on breast milk. He had solids of course but for his milk supply.... breast milk it was! I was so looking forward to the 12 month mark too. When 9 months rolled around, I was fairly over the whole pumping deal. I stuck with it though because the end was in sight..... or so I thought! HA!
BB's 12 month wellness was scheduled, and I was looking forward to it. I just knew I was going to hear the words "ok to have milk". WRONG! Due to some allergy issues and just playing it safe, BB's pediatrician told me to hold off on milk. Really, Doc! That wasn't what I wanted to hear. So here I am. Beyond the 12 month mark and still breastfeeding. BB only nurses once at night and once in the morning, and I pump one bottle a day. I'm ready for "the girls" to be mine again though! :) And it will probably help BB become a little less attached. He is one mama's boy! Oh well..... just part of being a mother.
And being a mother is what I am. A wife and a mom. And I love it!

I could either laugh, or cry! I know how hard it is, and to hear these words!? YIKES!
You are a great mom!
Sending you a virtual high-five!!!! Wohoo. Congrats. Something to be very proud of. With T, I pumped until she was 12 months, and then only nursed once at night and once in the morning and she got whole milk during the day. I weaned her at about 16 months, because I was not producing much anymore, and it was just a comfort thing for her. With V, I'm still pumping, and I'm so counting down the months until I can be done with pumping. I pump 3 times a day and nurse her a few times during the night/morning hours. I would like to have my girls back as well! Seems harder to hold on this time around, but like you, I'm determined. And you did it! And you continue to do it and provide what's best for him! I"m sure if you have a freezer stash like me, you could almost give up the pumping soon.
